Classic Wines Auction to Expand Impact with New Mission

Classic Wines Foundation will house the organization’s legacy events, and expand to meet the needs of non-profit partners and community members.

March 30, 2021 – Portland, Oregon – Classic Wines Auction, Inc., the organization that has raised more than $50 million over its 36-year history, announced today a new name – Classic Wines Foundation – in line with an expanded mission in support of Oregon and Southwest Washington nonprofit organizations.

“We are proud to continue to inspire our donors through thoughtful experiences such as the Classic Wines Auction and our Winemaker Dinner series,” says Kristy Anderson, Acting Executive Director of Classic Wines Foundation. “We’re excited to expand upon those experiences to make an even greater impact in our community.”

Classic Wines Foundation currently supports three non-profits organizations, aligned with their mission of “profoundly impact[ing] children and families in our community by inspiring the generosity of donors and empowering non-profit partners.” Namely, current beneficiaries of Classic Wines Foundation funds are Metropolitan Family Service, Friends of the Children – Portland, and New Avenues for Youth.

The organization’s launch comes at a time when increasing numbers of children and families in the Portland area are faced with food and housing shortages.

The foundation is kicking off fundraising efforts with the anticipated virtual take on their classic wine and food pairing effort, Corks + Forks. The digital experience, Corks + Forks Chez Vous, will be held on April 9, 2021 from 6-8pm.
